Oneida Nation of the Thames | On^yot^'a:ka:
The Oneida Nation of the Thames Settlement was established in 1840, home to 2,159 residents and a total membership of 6,108. Our Iroquoian Community has a history of agricultural activity, our annual fall fair takes place in September. We have a traditional and an elected governance system.
Located in Southwestern Ontario on the eastern shore of the Thames River, 30 kilometers south of the City of London. Our First Nations neighbors include Chippewas of the Thames First Nation and Munsee-Delaware Nation. Other neighboring communities include Delaware, Komoka, London, Melbourne, Mt.Brydges, Strathroy, and St.Thomas.
The community is home to two (2) traditional longhouses, five (5) churches, five (5) gas stations (2 also sell diesel fuel), a 64 bed long term care facility as well as many locally owned and operated businesses.

Bereaved Families
Doxtator Property Maintenance offers lawn maintenance and snowplowing at no charge to the residence of the deceased community member or family home where friends and family will be gathering within the Oneida Nation of the Thames, Chippewas of the Thames and Munsee- Delaware Nation during the time of passing.

Aging at Home Program
This program is offered through the Oneida Health Centre for eligible Oneida members/homeowners.
Eligible members receive two (2) $25.00 vouchers for lawn maintenance (June to September) or snowplowing (December to February) services per month.
Homeowners are required to sign the voucher upon each visit and we submit for payment directly with Oneida Nation of the Thames. Additional fees may apply to the homeowner as this program is a cost sharing en devour.
Homeowners will be notified prior to commencement of work of any additional fees beyond the $25.00 voucher.
